Harvesting the ripest one first

Context

Meridian Growers came to us with a familiar problem: demand that moved faster than their automation could. Soft grippers and ripeness vision picked 2.1 million strawberries in the first season.

Approach

We started with a two-week shadowing sprint on the floor, recording every edge case operators handled by instinct. Those recordings became the first training set for the cell, and the operators became its teachers.

Outcome

Within the first quarter the cells reached 92% on damage-free rate, and the team now adds new tasks without writing a line of code.
